Origin Kava Review

A strong earthy taste will get you to the relaxation point fast. We recommend 1-2 tablespoons per 500ml of water for quick relaxation.
1 x 500ml session should give you that heady sensation but 2 x 500ml sessions will go straight to the body leaving you with a full body sensation.

Drink in 100ml shots every 10-15min so that 1 x 600ml serve is approximately 5-6 cups stretched out over a period of 45min - 1hr.

This is a waka dominant variety and extremely effective. However the more you drink the harder it will be to wake up the next day, with the best sleep ever.

The kava is free of moisture so it's safe to consume even if you use a little in every session and shelve the rest. You will not find a stronger kava than this for the money.

A traditional grind means you will need a strainer bag but its well worth the effort.

Strongly recommended for those who wish to have a substitute for alcohol or a simple and effective after work drink.

Please note this is not an instant kava and you will require a strainer cloth for this product. Available Here

KNOW YOUR KAVA

WAKA - Lateral Root

This is the business end of the kava root where the majority of the kavalactones are held.
Its strong, hard hitting and a dark colour when mixed. If your kava looks dark in colour you can be sure it is a waka dominant powder.

kava-root

Lewena - Basal Root

This is the less sleepy part of the root system and located just above the waka and below the stem. Its smooth milky and pleasant tasting and an absolute

Kasa - Stem (Buyer Beware)

The kasa is used by dishonest sellers to bulk up the weight of thier product and it is truly an ugly part of the kava trade. Kasa should only be used for replanting. When pounded up with waka and lewena there is really no way to tell what it is you're drinking. The only way to tell is when you feel sick and hungover the next day.

Royal Fiji never use kasa or stem in any of our kava products.

Royal Fiji Kava do not buy or trade kava less than 3 years old kava root. We firmly believe that kava root should be left in the ground for an absolute minimum of 3 years.
We do not encourage our farmers to harvest their crop unless its at least 3 years old.
